Best High Schools & Elementary Schools In Burnaby, B.C.

British Columbia’s educational system is one of the best in the world. It’s why the province remains a prime choice for families looking for a great place to live.

Most parents want their kids to go to good schools, especially when relocating to a new city. A good school helps build the educational foundation necessary for children to succeed, but it also helps nurture and encourage them.

To inform parents which elementary and secondary schools in B.C. are ranked the best, the Fraser Institute creates a detailed report on a school’s academic performance called The Report Card.

The Vancouver-based educational organization has been a trusted source for parents to measure school performance for over 20 years.

Fraser Institute School Ratings

Each year the Fraser Institute publishes a series of Report Cards that rate the academic performance of elementary and high schools across Canada.

The ratings allow parents to compare schools and encourage schools to improve their performance.

Ratings for elementary schools are based on the results of Grades 4 and 7 Foundation Skills Assessment. Secondary school ratings are determined using a more comprehensive range of performance indicators, including graduation rates, grade-to-grade transition rates and provincial exam results.

Here are some rankings for British Columbia.
